Laurel House

Laurel House is the only emergency domestic violence shelter in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The shelter was founded by the Women's Center of Montgomery County in 1980. In 1981, Laurel House was incorporated as an independent nonprofit organization.

The WRN of Montgomery County collects donations for the Laurel House Shelter at our December holiday meeting. To find out more about Laurel House, visit their site, www.laurel-house.org

Career Wardrobe

The Career Wardrobe is a nonprofit organization that empowers low-income women returning to the workforce to succeed through providing professional clothing and workshops that educate and inspire women towards an independent future.

The WRN of Montgomery County is planning a collection for Career Wardrobe in Fall 2007. Visit their site for more information on the organization, www.careerwardrobe.org

We will be accepting Fall and Winter Business Suits for Career Wardrobe at our September Luncheon. If you have Fall/Winter (blouses, dresses, pants, etc.) that you would like to donate, we will be collecting them for Good Will (Career Wardrobe does not accept separates). Please make sure everything is on hangers, clean (dry cleaned if necessary), no stains, has all buttons, zippers work, no tears, etc.

Our next Career Wardrobe collection will be at our May luncheon. Be sure to bring your items because they will be delivered that night!
